American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire
The American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire (AmCham-CI) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization.
AmCham-CI was established in January 2013 by a group of U.S. companies based in Côte d’Ivoire, under the auspices of the American Chamber of Commerce in Washington DC. Since its inception 8 years ago, leaders of the U.S. business community in Côte d’Ivoire have created the American Business Group of Abidjan, now known as the American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire, to serve as a platform for U.S. companies to network, socialize, and align their engagement efforts to have a more meaningful impact on relevant policy issues in the U.S. and Côte d’Ivoire.
Our Chamber is governed by statutes and internal regulations, which define the terms of governance, management and membership.
AmCham-CI is an avant-garde and progressive association.
Our mission is to create value for our members by providing information and facilitating access and connections that give members an overview of the local, regional and global operating environment, enhance their professional capabilities and enable them to make business decisions, being well informed.
The Chamber is governed by a Board of Directors which elects the President.
Because good ideas are shared, our Chamber commissions specific committees with different objectives: Industrial and Manufacturing, Professional Investment Service, Trade and SMEs, Agriculture and Food, Global Economic Policy Issues, Digital and Technology.
The committees represent both the issues that motivate AmCham-CI’s engagement on topics crucial to the business environment, such as population health care, education, economic development, safety in new technologies.
The year 2020 marks our ambition to breathe new life into AmCham-CI, to make it better known, to diversify its activities, to open it up to more members, to raise it to the rank of major international trade associations very active in Cote d’Ivoire.
