The Digital Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire recently organized the 1st edition of the Digital Day in Bouaflé on May 12, 2023. This event, attended by the Minister of Good Governance, Epiphane Zoro, brought together digital experts and students from two high schools in Bouaflé. The panelists, consisting of renowned individuals from the digital industry, shared their experiences and insights, leaving a lasting impact on the attending students. The success of this event would not have been possible without the vision and dedication of Houssène Ben Souda, the Chairman of the digital committee of AmCham.

The primary aim of the Digital Day was to bridge the digital gap in rural areas and inspire the younger generation of Côte d’Ivoire to pursue careers in the digital field. Students from two high schools in Bouaflé were given the invaluable opportunity to interact with experts who have made significant contributions to the digital landscape.

The event featured esteemed panelists who shared their experiences, providing valuable insights into the digital industry. The following experts graced the occasion:

Ismahill Diaby – Director General, VISA: Ismahill Diaby, the Director General of VISA, brought his expertise and knowledge to the panel. He shared his journey and discussed the importance of digital technologies in today’s world, emphasizing the potential they hold for driving socio-economic growth.

Jil Alexandre Ndia – Co-Founder, Abidjan.net: Jil Alexandre Ndia, one of the co-founders of Abidjan.net, a prominent digital platform, shared his entrepreneurial journey and highlighted the various opportunities that the digital sphere offers. His insights encouraged the students to think innovatively and seize opportunities in the digital realm.

Sahifoulaye Koné – Marketing Director, RTI: Sahifoulaye Koné, the Marketing Director of RTI, brought his expertise in marketing and digital strategy to the panel. He discussed the significance of effective marketing in the digital age and how it can impact businesses positively.

Gérard Konan – Founder, AGILY: Gérard Konan, the visionary founder of AGILY, shared his entrepreneurial journey and the importance of embracing technology to drive business growth. His experiences resonated with the students, inspiring them to pursue their ambitions fearlessly.

Lamine Barro – Founder, Etudesk: Lamine Barro, the founder of Etudesk, an educational platform, highlighted the role of digital education in empowering individuals and communities. He emphasized the transformative potential of technology in enhancing access to quality education.
