AMCHAM CI HOSTS A DIGITAL COMMITTEE EVENT

Digital technology is becoming increasingly important in Africa. African countries have estimated that digital could be the key to the development of the continent. Thus, we observe a digital transformation across the continent in public and private services.

However, the digital issue also raises the question of cybersecurity. For this reason, the American Chamber of Commerce and the digital committee organized a conference on cyber security on Thursday, February 16, 2023.

This conference organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Cote d’Ivoire aimed to raise awareness of the risks of cybersecurity and to provide them with the tools and knowledge necessary to protect their businesses against cyber threats.

To lead the debates, we had the honor to receive Mr. Houssène Ben Souda (Moderator), Leon Gbédjé (Senior Manager IT strategy & Digital Transformation), Gerard Konan (Founder CEO AGILLY CISSP) and Dr RAOGO KABORE (Cybersecurity Consultant).

Mr. Leon Gédjé developed the different aspects of cyber security, such as data protection, security incident management and regulatory compliance.

Then Dr. Raogo Kaboré presented the challenges and opportunities of cybersecurity for businesses in Côte d’Ivoire.

 Finally, Mr. Gerard Konan focused his presentation on Current trends in cybersecurity and best practices for business leaders.

To finish, the participants were able to refresh around a cocktail offered for the occasion. It was also an opportunity for networking and exchanges between the participants and the speakers.
