The American Chamber of Commerce organized a Thanksgiving dinner on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the Hotel Particulier. This dinner was intended to bring together members of AmCham-CI, the U.S. Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire and some officials in a convivial atmosphere.
AmCham CI wanted to celebrate this American holiday and make our guests experience Thanksgiving in the pure tradition.
The President of AmCham-CI, Yohannes Mekbebe, opened the ceremony with a speech welcoming the guests present while emphasizing that the year 2023 will be rich in events and AmCham promises to play its role in facilitating American investments towards Côte d’Ivoire.
The representative of the U.S. Ambassador Stephanie Arnold (Acting Deputy Chief of Mission) took the opportunity to renew the commitment of the United States to accompany U.S. companies in Côte d’Ivoire. She also reaffirmed their full support to AmCham CI in its mission to make Côte d’Ivoire a serious economic partner of the United States.
Also present were the Ambassador of Germany Ingo Herbert, the Ambassador of Morocco Abdelmalek Kettani, Alexandre Acka special advisor to the Prime Minister. The Minister of Tourism was represented by Mrs. Fatym KOMAH, Director of External Services and Mrs. Djenebou SERY, Executive Assistant to the Minister.
The Chamber expressed its gratitude to the companies that sponsored this event. These include Cargill, Sonal, Coca Cola, Wave and Citibank. A special thank you to Movenpick for providing prizes for the event’s raffle.
