Cybastion, an American company that offers its expertise in digitization and cybersecurity in several African countries has initialed, Monday, October 24, 2022 with the Ministry of Tourism to accompany it in the digitization of this sector.
The CEO of Cybastion, Dr. Thierry Wandji, said that the agreement reached leads to the development of the Ivorian platform of e-tourism.
The American firm undertakes to ensure the creation and commissioning of the platform as well as the training of staff dedicated to maintenance within the Ministry of Tourism. This signature comes within the framework of commercial cooperation efforts between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States to promote digital transformation.
“We will provide digital solutions tailored to the needs of the Ivorian tourism sector. This framework agreement is fully in line with the digitalization strategy of the Ministry of Tourism, which we would like to congratulate,” he said, adding that the investment in the project will be 7 to 8 billion CFA francs.
Minister Siandou Fofana said that through this partnership, the time has come to innovate with creative ideas of discovery and travel in the face of restrictive measures that have impacted the sector.
It should also be noted that Cybastion was in Abidjan during the trip of the Deputy Secretary of Commerce Don Graves initiated by AmCham-CI during the Africa CEO Forum in June 2022. Cybastion was one of the businessmen who participated in this forum with the US Chamber of Commerce.
