AMCHAM-CI HOSTED A PANEL DISCUSSION WITH PRIME MINISTER PATRICK ACHI AND DEPUTY SECRETARY OF COMMERCE DON GRAVE

On the sideline of the Africa CEO Forum, the American Chamber of Commerce in Cote d’Ivoire (AmCham-CI) organized on Tuesday June 14, 2022 a panel under the theme, “Leveraging Digital Innovation for Africa’s Economic Transformation”.
 
This meeting was marked by the solemn presence of Prime Minister Patrick Achi and Don Grave Deputy Secretary of Commerce.
 
 The head of government took this opportunity to highlight the importance of digital in the management of public affairs.
 
For Patrick Achi, “digital services are at the heart of reforms to improve public governance, with the securing of urban land, the traceability of budgetary and financial operations of the State and its relations with its suppliers and providers.
 In the words of Don Grave: he came to meet with representatives of AmCham Côte d’Ivoire and US chamber to discuss current and future programming to support economic transformation across Africa and to underscore the importance of private sector collaboration meaningful outcomes.
 
The American & African businessmen attending this meeting insisted on the need to intensify economic and commercial exchanges between the two countries. As a reminder, the volume of trade between Côte d’Ivoire and the United States has reached its highest-level last year. A memorandum was signed in this sense the day before this meeting between the chambers of commerce of Côte d’Ivoire and the United States in the premises of the Prime Minister’s Office.
